36 weeks, 4 more to go!

Today being the 25th of February means that I have exactly one month until my due date of March 25th.  Also, because February is a short month, it is exactly 4 weeks!  So close, yet so far away.....

My pregnancy has gone rather smoothly, and I have nothing to complain about besides the regular aches and pains associated with carrying a watermelon in your abdomen.

I don't know whether I'm having a boy or a girl, but have a suspision that it's a boy. (I thought the exact same thing last time though, and ended up having Linda!)  I don't really remember if I'm "carrying differently" or if I feel any different this time around.  The only difference I know for sure is I havn't gained nearly as much weight this time around (and I mean not even close).  I don't really know if this is because the baby is a different sex, or if it's just because I ate WAY too much last time (and not always healthy things if you know what I mean).

So here is my expectation of all of you who read this:

Am I having a boy, or a girl?  Weight?   Date?

Let me know what you think!  Here is a picture of me taken today to help you make up your mind.

The Cadillac of strollers ;)

When I found out I was pregnant again this past summer, I knew I would have to think about getting a double stroller for this summer.  I put it off until now (there was no use getting it before I could even use it).  So about two months ago I decided to start researching it.  I looked for a couple of days online and read some reviews (apparently not as long as it took Keld to research his!), and decided on the Bumbleride Indie Twin.  I wanted a side by side, even though most people think it's too big and bulky, but it was my preference.  We went to the store to pick it up yesterday.  Here was my conversation with Linda:  "We're gonna go to the "baby store" to pick up our new stroller"
"NO!!!  It's MY stroller!"  (she's very territorial I guess)
"Yes it's your stroller, but the baby will share it with you"
            "No it's MY stroller!"
So until we got it home and put together, it was hers.  But once she realized there were TWO seats, she decided it would be great to share with the baby.  She claimed the left side and was kind enough to give the right side to "baby".  She has been very excited about it and has already sat in it for what seems like hours (in one spot).  It's too bad it's winter out and we couldn't take her out in it, she would love it!
Here are some pictures of an enthusiastic Linda showing you her new stroller.

(ps, James picked out the color, so if you don't think it's nice, it wasn't me!)

Say what?

Yesterday we had Keld and Catherine come over with the little ones for a visit after church.  For supper we had pizza.  Uncle Keld asked Linda if she wanted pizza to which she replied "Yes, I want pizza in my mouth!"  It was really cute, and made me think of some of the things she's been saying lately.  It's funny how kids come up with things on their own....

She's really been overusing this one, but who am I to complain?!  "Isn't mommy nice?"  She will say this if I do something nice for her, but especially when I'm getting after her for something she shouldn't be doing.  I guess she really knows now to butter me up!

She's also taken to claiming James and I, and will often say "It's my mommy/ it's my Ashley" or "It's my daddy/ it's my uncle James".  (she hasn't quite gotten the concept of dropping the "uncle" part of James, but it's still really cute!

The other day, we were watching them do snow removal on the street.  When she saw the "tractors" she got really excited and told me "Daddy's gonna check it out!"  She knows her daddy well :)

She will also advise me when she is going to make a lot of noise, I guess she wants me to brace myself "Linda making noisy!!!"

If anything is going to be "fun"  she will tell me, "it's gonna be funny!", she will say this a couple times over and throw her hands in the air and yell "yay!!!".

This one is really old, but I think it's the cuttest.  I think she started it back when she was just over a year old, but it came out of nowhere, so it's my favortite.  Anytime she would hear a noise at all, however faint that noise would be, she would cup her hand to her ear and say "you hear that??"

And just for Jeff, she says this one a lot still "Jeff is nasty!"  But I think he taught her that one ;)

She just keeps getting cuter everyday and I can't wait to hear what she comes up with next.

And on another note, Happy Valentines Day James, I sure LOVE YOU!  xo

Did you know that Panda's eat broccoli?

A couple of weeks ago while I was preparing supper, Linda wanted to sit on the counter and "help" (this is a regular occurance and I don't mind). I don't remember what I was making, but I do know I made broccoli with it. Linda insisted on holding the broccoli the whole time, she was very proud. She than informed me in her sweet little voice "Panda's eat broccoli" and than she proceeded to munch on the head of broccoli. I have a hard time getting her to eat anything other than fruit, toast, pizza or pasta, so I was very surprised that she was eating the broccoli!
I thought it would be a one time thing, but than for supper last night I made broccoli again, and just reminded her that Panda's ate broccoli. Apparently they eat chicken, rice and stuffing too, cause she ate alomost everything on her plate! I hope this will become a regular occurance and I won't have to fight with her at meal times anymore :)

Time for a new family picture?

I've decided to join the bandwagon, Catherine has inspired me to start my very own blog! I also noticed how Alli and Emmy commented how I should start one, so this for you! I've been trying for about a week or so to get this set up, it was a little harder than I thought. Than I realized that we havn't had a family picture taken since Hawaii! (and I mean not even a casual one, not a SINGLE ONE) It would be nice to have a more recent one, since Linda is almost 2 whole years older now than she was when this picture was taken. But who wants their picture taken when they are 8 months pregnant right? Not me. So alas, I suppose I will wait 'til the new addition arrives to take a new family picutre.
In case anyone is wondering why I titled the blog "The little Scott's", it is because a few years back one of the older sisters at church said as James and I were walking down the hall "Oh look, it's the little Scott's!" I suppose it's better than being the "BIG Scott's" right? :)
