Trick or Treat!!!

This was a fun halloween, since Linda is now 3 and LOVES it!  We got to go twice, so it was twice as much fun!  First, on Friday, we had a trunk or treat at the church.  Than tonight, it was trick or treating around the neighbourhood.  Linda first dressed up as Rapunzel.  As she was getting ready, she twirled in front of the mirror and said "I'm the most beautiful princess!"  She was right, she was the most beautiful princess :)

Baby Bruce dressed up as a little chicken, and he was a cute one!

There was also a spooky ghost at the trunk or treat.......BOO!!!!
Tonight, she decided to dress up as a dragon.  She tried to be scary, but she was just too cute to be scary!

Baby Bruce didn't dress up as a chicken and go out trick or treating, but he was decked out in his halloween  clothes, and handed out treats with me instead .

Linda got quite a haul, just look at all that stuff!
I guess her daddy will have to help her eat it all :)
And just because I need a reason to post these pictures, here they are!

They make me smile everytime I see them :)  Love that face!

Say cheese :)

Baby Bruce has started to "say cheese" when I take his pictures.  It's a goofy little face, but I love it!

Here are an assortment of "cheese" pictures of both Linda and Bruce :)

Such cute faces!

Splish Splash (waterpark fun)

We were able to visit the two waterparks while we were at Disney:  Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.  It's a good thing too, because it was hot, and I mean HOT!  Like sweaty hot.  So it was nice to be able to cool off for a few hours.
I didn't know whether or not Linda would enjoy the waterparks, but she did!
She especially loved this one tube ride they had, and went down it several times.

She also enjoyed playing in the sand with some sand toys that someone was nice enough to leave on top of a garbage can for me to find!

Baby Bruce decided he didn't want to miss out on the fun, and even dipped his toes in the water.

He decided sitting in a tube looked fun, and had to take a couple turns down the lazy river!

On a side note, he went down the first time with Special, and found it so soothing, that he fell asleep in the tube, I wish we had a picture of it, but I don't!  Apparently not one person went by that didn't comment on how cute those two babies looked! (Bruce and Zack).
We had a splashin' good time!  :)

Baby Bruce is 6 months

I brought baby Bruce to the nurse today for his 6 month needles/check-up.  He weighs 14lbs 3oz and is 26 inches long.  Along with the help of his big sister (she held his hand), he braved his needle and didn't even cry!  It's hard to believe that half a year has passed by already.
Here he is the day he was born. (so cute!)
He has grown up so much, and can do so many new  things now, like:

 sitting up on his own

sitting up all by himslef on a push toy

eating solid food (he loves peas!)

he has also been doing a lot of "talking"

Ok, so that's more of a "grunting" but he does make actual sounds like "ma", "ba", "na".  Yep, he can put those two "ma"s together and say mama, but only when he's crying and wants to be picked up.

He can also pivot around 360 degrees when he's on his tummy, roll across the room, and has even began to inch forward a bit while on his tummy to get to something he wants.

Now bring on the next 6 months!

The rides

Linda had mixed feelings about the rides.  She loved some, and loathed some.

The first ride we brought her on was It's A Small World.  Of course she loved that one.  There is so much to look at and it is just such a happy ride, even baby Bruce loved it.
Than we took her on the carousel, which she also loved.  At first she had to ride on the horse with me, but quickly threw me to the curb because she wanted to do it "all by myself!"

I think we rode that carousel about 6 times or so.

Than I made the mistake of taking her on Snow Whites Scary Adventure.  And Scary it is for a 3 year old who isn't too fond on the dark.  She cried the entire ride and proclaimed she was not going on that ride again.
I than had a hard time taking her on Peter Pan's Flight which in my opinion, is one of the best rides there!  She was affraid it would be the same as Snow White, but after going on it once, and with a little convincing (and after promising her to buy her a Minnie Mouse stuffed toy), she braved it a couple more times!
Baby Bruce found that ride so soothing, that when Special took him on it while we were doing something else with Linda, he litterally went off to neverland the minute the ride took off to Never Land.
We also went on Dumbo, but unlike Keld and Catherine, only had to wait 15 minutes for that ride.  James too, like Keld, enjoyed seeing the construction that was being done on the building of the new castles.  (We will have to go back again in a couple years to see those new castles up close!)
Linda enjoyed that ride a lot, and we were able to find one just like it at animal kingdom that was so dead, we were able to ride it 4 times in a row (without getting off the ride).
Than there was Winnie the Pooh.  The lineups were pretty long for that one, so we only went on it twice.  Linda LOVED the lineup, there were a lot of things to see and play with.

baby Bruce fell asleep on that ride too :)

We also went on the tea cups, but only once (there was no lineup)  Well, I didn't go on it, I stayed with Bruce, but Linda and James did.
I would have loved to get a picture in the ride while they were spinning, I think those pictures look so cool.  Oh well, it gives us a reason to go back!

James and I were able to go on off our own while Special and Grampa Bruce watched the kids for a few select rides (Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain...).  Special even looked after the kids one night while James and I went out to Hollywood Studios when it was open late.  We got to go on Tower of Terror a couple times and Rockin' Roller Coaster.  Meanwhile, Special had a hard time with Baby Bruce who cried for an hour and a half (she says he was just plain mad at her!)  So thank you Special, for letting us do that, we appreciate it!
