So as the title states, I have myself a really sick little girl on my hands. She started coughing out of nowhere in the middle of the night and woke up with a fever of 104.5 (or 40.3). I know sometimes kids (especially younger ones) get high fevers a lot, but common! She just had a spell with fevers that lasted 12 days 3 months ago. The timming is also terrible. With my due date just one week away, I don't want to get sick, nor do I want her to still be sick when the baby comes. I would just hate for her to miss the "party" at the hospital when her little brother or sister makes his/her appearance. She has been talking about going to see mommy and baby at the hospital for so long now. It would just break her little heart (as well as mine) if she coudn't go. So I'm holding that baby in as long as I can! (or at least until she is feeling better that is).
Yesterday, while waking up from one of her naps (she has been dozing off several times throughout the day) she sat up and said one of the CUTEST things I have heard come out of a 2 year olds mouth. I'm not sure if she was delirious from the fever, if it was the medicine or if she was just having a dream, but here (in exact words) is what she said to me as she shot up:
"It's my Jesus! Jesus is going to make me feel better. Jesus is going to come to my house to see me. I go to church with Jesus. Jesus is my friend."
I'm so glad that she loves Jesus so much, cause I know he loves her! It's also nice to see the innocent faith of a little child, to know that "Jesus will make her feel better".
I sure hope you get better soon Linda, I love you SO much!
